We really couldn't fault the resort.If anything I thought the golf was expensive for hotel residents,especially needing a buggy and club hire.I didn't fancy paying all that money to play alone.Perhaps a notice in reception for guests looking for golf partner or partners.

Our family of four, with two daughters of 9 and 7, had the most pleasant stay at OldNoar. The house was renovated a few months ago, with very good taste. The pictures speak for themselves. The shower has excellent pressure and the hot water is abundant. The sheets are not "industrial", they are uniquely hand made. The view from our master bedroom was gourgeous, with the imposing view of Rocca Salvatesta above us, a stunningly beautiful rock that dominates the town of Novara di Sicilia. The kids room was also very nicely decorated, with a heavenly smell of fresh lavander that comes from the herbs garden. There is also a room with a couch and TV and a fully equipped kitchen, with a second restroom. A washing machine is conveniently located there, for those who opt for a longer stay. We were given plenty of fresh towels for our three days stay. Andrea graciously welcomed us and made some home made orange, kiwi and lemon jams available for us, along with a bottle of mineral water and fresh lemons, that we had for breakfast. Oil, vinegar, salt, sugar and other basics were available. Yes, the breakfast was one of the moment we enjoyed most: in the pictures you can see what I am talking about. There are three terraces at different levels, with grass, and above those there is an outdoor space where we had our breakfast, enjoying the views and the peace of the garden. Beyond the garden there is a mill, still functioning thanks to the water that flows in a stream at the bottom of the valley where the house is located, and the visit to the mill alone was worth the trip (see different review). From the terrace you can enjoy views of the island of Salina. In the garden Andrea grows some vegetables that we were welcome to pick and taste, along with several herbs, from citronella to basil to mint, and many others. Andrea was instrumental in giving us top quality advices. The visit to Argimusco, the Sicilian Stonehenge, was above our expectations, and hiking in the Bosco di Malabotta, with the views of Etna and of the Ionian sea, was another peak of our stay. Andrea himself is a scientist at the University of Catania, with very high communication skills. His field of interest is Astrophysic and he has posted some excellent videos on youtube on the Argimusco area. The town of Novara deserves its reputation as one of the "most beautiful small towns in Italy", and we loved strolling in its narrow streets and visiting his several churches. In conclusions, we felt very lucky to stay here and we would definitely return!

Ein schönes ruhiges Hotel in einem großen Garten direkt am Meer mit Blick auf das Castello! Ein idealer Ort zum Ausruhen und genießen. Wer nicht auf seinem Balkon sitzen möchte findet viele Möglichkeiten sich im Garten oder am Pool aufzuhalten oder macht lange Spaziergänge am Strand. Der Aufenthaltsbereich um die Bar könnte ergänzt und bereichert werden durch kleine Tische mit Stühlen so dass man auch dort abends lesen oder Karten spielen könnte. Dieses ist auf der aussen Terrasse möglich jedoch ist es In der Vorsaison zu kühl um abends draussen zu sitzen.
