We chose this hotel for our 40 year wedding because last year we are very happy with the food in Your restaurant and the rooms. The staff in the bar, restaurant and reception were very friendly. We had Some problems with the water. It rains water from the ceiling but the reception man solved the problems. But if there is always too little staff in the restaurant, for example, then everything will go wrong. We ordered, regularly, starter and main course, but the starter then came with the main course and we ordered bottles of wine with the food, only we didn't get bottles of wine. The organization did not go well. The Maitre can do nothing about it if it is far too busy with far too few staff. Last but not least for us, the level of the food was terribly low. We ate a la carte, with 7 people. and apart from the fact that there was no cracking or taste, there were no vegetarian dishes on the menu. Our pregnant daughter and son-in-law were both vegetarian, no fish and meat, and the only thing they could get was grilled vegetables. this was all unworthy of a hotel of your level.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche im Appartement ??? verbracht, die Lage und die Anlage sind super und sehr ruhig, die Aussicht fantastisch. Der Service des Hausherrn ist erstklassig und überaus freundlich. Wir werden die Luxury Residence in Taormina gerne weiter empfehlen. Erna und Paul aus Zürich

As lovely as The Ashbee is we did have a few gripes. Our room was Number 37, a lovely deluxe room. However, it is next to the road and there is a bar at the back. We encountered a lot of noise until late into the night, which if we were staying longer we would have asked to move rooms. The biggest gripe was the drinks prices at the pool bar. 2 vodka and tonics was €32 which we both believed a bit too steep. Whilst we were not expecting it to be cheap, we both thought it too much. If it had been less we would have used the roof top and pool bar more. As it was we had our sundowner vodka and tonics on the balcony at The Metropole and enjoyed a bit of jazz and yummy snacks for a lot less.
