Luxury hotels and resorts

The pros: We were treated fairly by the hotel staff and the hotel manager was very nice on letting us leave earlier than we booked, even reimbursing the remaining 2 days we had booked. Good service here, no doubt. The Cons: 1st things 1st, this hotel simply shouldn't be listed on a website branded i'castelli, whose marketing positioning is "luxury hotels, charming and boutique hotels". This is a resort like club medyish type of hotel, with live loud music, umbrella drinks and large families with children. Overall this is a big, "loud", buzzling hotel, not complying with the "luxury" mor the "charming and boutique". It is not the hotel's fault here, because customers who do enjoy this type of scenario/hotel/resort, should probably go to this hotel, with a good view of the taormina bay. The main target miss here goes to icastelli and not to the hotel itself. The staff was ok and in fact the girl at the reception desk was extremely nice and helpful. Final note: kudos to icastelli's reservation call center operator, Marco Orlando, extremely helpful and resourceful. He resolved our changing of hotel with expertise and suggested hotels more in line with the positioning "boutique and charming". Thanks also to the hotel manager at Capo dei Greci, who allowed us to change our booking without losing our money.

The location and room was amazing. There were some parts of the room that were damaged and the receptionist, whilst helpful, could have conceded that the tap in the bathroom was difficult. If that was a problem with others as she said, they could have shown how to use it. Also , there was very little guest information available when we arrived. A very memorable stay all the same.

Nous avons un feedback mitigé car l’hôtel est très beau et de haut standing, mais le haut standing n’est qu’en apparence car après les détails sont oubliés. accroche serviettes cassé dans la chambre (jamais réparé en 3 jours), la télé cassée également (elle tombait sur le mur) de plus pas possibilité de la regarder pendant les 2 nuits (sky ne fonctionnait apparement pas), il y avait beaucoup de moisissures sur les joints de la douche etc… et le bruit de train est quand même très surprenant… tout cela fait que payer 600€ pour 2 nuits n’est pas un bon rapport qualité/prix pour nous. Cependant restaurant Michelin très bon et personnel du restaurant très agréable, même avis sur le spa (top du top, et très bon massage), alors que les personnes à l’accueil de l’hôtel ne sont pas très accueillantes malheureusement et peu souriantes (sauf les deux monsieur: celui qui s’est occupé de nos bagages et le monsieur qui est a l’accueil la nuit, eux deux très gentils).
