Castello San Marco, un havre de paix! Un grand merci pour l'accueil chaleureux et la qualité du service. Dommage que l'utilisation des chaises longues à la plage ne soit pas gratuite. Philippe

The rooms were perfect, but there is no service at all. The manager was not able to speak good English . The B&B is not managed well. The breakfast and service comfort does not represent what it wants to be. In total it is not worth the expensive price!

Castello San Marco is a lovely hotel with "charming" (for which I interpret interesting and good quality design, with period features - not the average, sterile environment of chains) well equipped apartments (air con, power sockets, wifi, TV [if you ever needed it!], etc.). The pool is good, with an adjoining small restaurant for lunch. Access via a back gate to the hotel's private beach area (with lots of sun lounger/shade space). Spa is good, and worth a visit. Beautiful location - there were 2 or 3 weddings hosted in the grounds. Staff are incredibly helpful. Restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was good. Only down-sides were: CSM is quite isolated - 40 euro cab from Taormina (which is worth visiting); sun shades around pool are too small, so you cannot lie flat in the shade; there were already quite a lot of wines unavailable in the restaurant in late July.
