Masseria Susafa is located in a beautiful position, standing alone amongst the magnificent Sicilian landscape. The farm is beautiful with its old stone buildings and the dining and bar areas are cosy in the cooler weather and cool in the warmer weather. Silvia, Manfredi and Tommazo all made us feel welcomed and special and were more than happy to share their beautiful home, their knowledge of Sicily and anything else we needed. This is not 5* accommodation but everything sat comfortably and happily alongside the surroundings. Although the pool was being filled for the season during our visit, in the summer months it must be a wonderful area to just sit and relax. Delicious food and wonderful Sicilian wines.

we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thought that the hotel was one of the best on the island. we had never been to Panarea before and did not know where to begin as far as where to stay. What made our choice easier was the professional guidance of the icastelli set-up(ie., booking ease and confirmation assurance) and after a day there we invetsigated other choices and came away knowing we made the best choice that was available at the time. The location, the style, the cleanliness and the extremely helpful and friendly staff also made it very enjoyable. The only criticism would be the low lights in the bedrooms so that you do not even have a choice in case you want to read and our room had no outdoor sitting spot for reading either. In the case of rainy or cloudy weather we had difficulty deciding where to just hang out. Otherwise we were extremely happy and look forward to returning sometime.

Service charmant, très attentionné et courtois. Hôtel calme et avec très peu de chambres (4 au total), ce qui permet de se sentir comme "à la maison". Piscine superbe, jardin enchanteur, endroit magnifique. Très romantique, très charmant, superbe vue. Points d'améliorations : - suite privative qui ressemble plus à une très belle chambre avec une deuxième pièce qui jouxte la première privatisée pour l'occasion de façon grossière (nous entendions la télé de l'autre chambre et une armoire servait de paroi). - ascenseur bruyant - éclairage de la salle de bain déficient et colonne de douche mal fixée qui ballotte - pas de mini frigo dans la chambre

A beautiful haven set in the countryside. The staff could not be more helpful. The views are stunning and food divine.
