Alberghi e Resort di lusso

Nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de constater que contrairement a ce qui etait indiqué sur le site, la suite n etait pas dotee de jaccuzi. L espace de la chambre beaucoup trop grand, decoration spartiate et mauvaise installation de lumiere. La connection wifi dans les chambres impossible. Nous avons etes surclassés durant le sejour, dans une tres belle chambre avec deux terrasses vue sur la mer! Magnifique vue. C etait presque parfait! Car il persistait dans cette chambre, une odeur d egout, nous avons aussi decouvert des traces de moisissures au plafond il y avait aussi des elements comme porte des toilettes ou television qui ne fonctionnaient pas!

The Masseria degli Ulivi is a wonderful country lodging with an excellent restaurant. We enjoyed the pool and spa landscape. The grounds are very beautiful. You will get a warm welcome here. Do not miss the calamari frutti! The best I ever had! The rooms are tastefully and comfortably arranged, everything was perfect.

The pros: We were treated fairly by the hotel staff and the hotel manager was very nice on letting us leave earlier than we booked, even reimbursing the remaining 2 days we had booked. Good service here, no doubt. The Cons: 1st things 1st, this hotel simply shouldn't be listed on a website branded i'castelli, whose marketing positioning is "luxury hotels, charming and boutique hotels". This is a resort like club medyish type of hotel, with live loud music, umbrella drinks and large families with children. Overall this is a big, "loud", buzzling hotel, not complying with the "luxury" mor the "charming and boutique". It is not the hotel's fault here, because customers who do enjoy this type of scenario/hotel/resort, should probably go to this hotel, with a good view of the taormina bay. The main target miss here goes to icastelli and not to the hotel itself. The staff was ok and in fact the girl at the reception desk was extremely nice and helpful. Final note: kudos to icastelli's reservation call center operator, Marco Orlando, extremely helpful and resourceful. He resolved our changing of hotel with expertise and suggested hotels more in line with the positioning "boutique and charming". Thanks also to the hotel manager at Capo dei Greci, who allowed us to change our booking without losing our money.
