                Castiglione di Sicilia (621m) at the northern border of Etna Park combines a charming historical centre, the 18-hole golf course “Il Picciolo” and the proximity to both Etna and Taormina ‘s beaches with another nearby tourist attraction: the gorges “Gole dell’ Alcántara”, a deep canyon with the river Alcántara edged by steep cliffs. You can reach the river-bed via steps or lift and then start hiking in wellingtons (for hire!) up to a waterfall.
