Villa Neri is a welcoming hotel, beautifully located on the slopes of the Etna. Good views, good pool, consistent delivery of service, excellent breakfast. Perhaps the only tiny minus here goes to the restaurant itself and the menu. Two different dishes came with the same vegetable julienne, which should not happen. Also, on my dish the chef forgot the potatoes, which came after we pointed it out. They were served late, but in the end they were OK. We liked our stay there very much, but would definitly and humbly suggest a revamp on the menu and on the cooking, giving that extra edge the hotel could use. thumbs up for villa neri (also would recommend changing the limoncello brand).

We really enjoyed our stay. Mr Fabianno and Barbara were extremely helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and whenever we wanted help or advice both were only to happy to give it. We would certainly recommend this place highly to anyone else wishing to stay in or around Taormina. There were only one or two issues. It is not easy to find - even with a satnav. The climb from the apartments into Taormina on foot is only for the healthy (or those wishing to become very fit). Otherwise it is VERY well appointed, has beautiful views, is very private and relaxing and Mr Fabianno is the perfect owner and host. J Gell and Family - May 2012

Improvement needed on breakfast: commercial croissant and brioche wrapped in cellophane were not good and not appealing.

Unequivocally, The Ashbee is one of the great hotels in all of Italy. The location is magical. Although, it is extremely convenient to the main part of Taormina, It is secluded, private and exclusive with astoundingly beautiful views of hills and the sea. The service was impeccable. Every person was professional, polite and friendly. They were conversationalists when you wanted to talk but never intruded when you wanted privacy. They were always helpful and were there when you needed them. In particular, the concierge was most helpful to every need or question. During our five day stay, the concierge desk, (in particular - Francesco) was knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants and was extraordinarily accommodating to our every need. The Ashbee is the epitome of a luxury hotel. The hotel is appointed beautifully and provides the sense that you are in a private villa. The rooms are large and pleasing and the bathroom is modern and spotless. The hotel combines old world charm with all of the modern conveniences and appointments. In addition, the hotel has a fantastic restaurant providing further enjoyment to our stay. The dining experience was one of the two best experiences that we had in all of Sicily.
