Luxury hotels and resorts

An einer unscheinbaren Pforte in einer schmalen Sackgasse wurden wir vom Vermieter persönlich in Empfang genommen. (Hinweis: Einmündung an der Osteria „Tre Vie“). Im Inneren erschließt sich dann sehr schnell, dass der Komplex seinem Namen „Luxury Residence“ sehr wohl gerecht wird. Die Hanglage (sonnige südliche Ausrichtung) knapp unterhalb des Felsplateaus auf dem das historische Toarmina liegt sorgt für einen grandiosen Blick auf die unten liegende Bucht am Fuße des Ätna. Die Anlage mit Sonnenterasse und überdachtem Pool im Gemeinschaftsbereich ist top gepflegt. Unser Appartement lag ganz oben (Modell Mediteraneo). Im Außenbereich waren eigene Liegen mit Schirm vorhanden. Die Räumlichkeiten waren hell, großzügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet – mit perfekter Küchenausstattung für Selbstverpfleger. Der hilfsbereite Vermieter ist vor Ort ansässig und konnte jederzeit kontaktiert werden. Die Lage gleich unterhalb des Stadttores „Porta Catania“ fanden wir genial, auch wenn beim Fußweg zum Aufzug des gleichnamigen Parkhauses einige Höhenmeter zu überwinden waren. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der weitere Aufstieg auf dem Treppenweg „via crucius“ von Taormina hinauf nach Castelmola.

Ho già visto che altri lo hanno fatto notare....un Hotel di questo livello non puo' chiedere 6 euro/ora per la connessione internet....dovrebbe essere un servizio incluso nel prezzo. Estremamente gradita la gentilezza del personale.

We stayed in room 201 which had a badly damaged wardrobe and was unusable, the damage was repeatedly pointed out to staff but no repairs were carried out and we were not offered an alternative room, the breakfast compared to what was offered in 2016 is nowhere nearly as nice or generous, on arrival we were informed that we were booked into a four person room when it was clearly stated on our confirmation form we had booked 2 rooms. We were grossly overcharged for drinks at the bar and if it wasn't for the intervention of your receptionist Valentina, who is an exceptional employee, the matter may have taken longer to resolve. Valentina and the girl who works at breakfast are brilliant and by far the best employees you have in the hotel.
